World’s largest K12 Coding Competition ICode Global Hackathon successfully completes its 3rd Edition with over 2 million participants.

New York, 29th December 2021 : ICode, one of the world’s leading Coding Competition and assessment organization, concluded the finals of the ICode Global Hackathon 2021 on 12th December 2021. Following the global trends of amazing response and participation from parents and schools, across 70 countries, ICode Global Hackathon 2021 received more than 2 million + participants in its preliminary selection rounds. These students participated in a multi-level competition starting with State level initial selection in August 2021 and progressing to Zonal, National, Regional, and finally Global events. Global Final saw 300+ students participate for the coveted honor of best coding minds in the world.

Each level of the Hackathon is designed as a 60 minute, adaptive and gamified coding competition mapped to age-appropriate competencies starting with ages 6 to 16 years. The modules include beginner and advanced levels of Block Coding for primary grade students and beginner and advance levels of Python for middle and high school students.

This year saw finalists from China, India, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates , Israel and Singapore. The winners are listed below –

Blocky Beginner :  Mengyang Xie from China, S Saisritarun from India and Tala Bathish from Israel.

Blocky Advance :  Xiaoyi Qiao from China, Iftach Peper from Israel and Suhuan Chen from China.

Python Beginner: Hilel Itzhakian from Israel, Madhur Vinayak Sivaraman from Singapore and Haoyuan Jiang from China

Python Advance : Noya Zeno from Israel, Juncheng Zhu and Hongxu Zhang from China

The registrations for ICode Global Hackathon 2022 will begin from mid of January 2022 with addition of participants from 8 more countries, taking the total number of participating countries to 78.
